Recomindo

Refund policy

This page explains what happens to your money when you start, change or end a Recomindo plan.

Draft: this page has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. Details in brackets are still being completed.
Clauses marked “Lawyer to check” still have to be confirmed by a lawyer before this page is final.

1. Free trial

⚖ Lawyer to check

Every plan starts with a free trial: 14 days without a card, or 7 days with a card. The sign-up or checkout page tells you which one applies to you. Without a card, nothing is charged when the trial ends; you are charged only if you subscribe, and only from the day you subscribe, at the price shown at checkout. With a card, nothing is charged during the trial; if you do not cancel before it ends, your plan starts and your card is charged the price shown at checkout.

2. Billing

Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider Stripe, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Prices are shown excluding VAT; VAT or sales tax that applies to you is added at checkout.

3. Cancelling

⚖ Lawyer to check

You can cancel at any time in the billing portal, which you open from your billing settings. If you started a trial with a card and cancel before the trial ends, nothing is charged. Otherwise your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and then ends, with no further charge and no cancellation fee.

4. Refunds

⚖ Lawyer to check

A subscription period starts when you subscribe, so we do not refund a period that has already started, including the unused part of a monthly or yearly period after you cancel, unless the law requires it. If you were charged by mistake, for example twice for the same period, write to [FILL IN: contact email]: we will review it and refund what was charged in error.

5. Deleting your account

⚖ Lawyer to check

If you delete your account, your subscription is cancelled immediately and no further invoices are issued. The amount already paid for the current period is not refunded unless the law requires it.

6. Business customers

⚖ Lawyer to check

Recomindo is made for businesses. If you subscribe for your business or profession, you are a business customer: the statutory withdrawal right for consumers does not apply, and sections 1 to 5 govern your subscription.

7. Consumers in the EU

⚖ Lawyer to check

If you subscribe as a consumer, outside any business or professional activity, you may withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason. Tell us clearly, for example by email to [FILL IN: contact email]. We refund the payment without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days of your notice, to the payment method you used. Where the law allows it, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already provided before your notice. A free trial without a card is not a purchase, so it has no withdrawal period. If you start a trial with a card, your subscription begins on the day the trial ends and the first payment is taken, and the 14 days run from that day.

8. How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe. Your bank may need several working days to show the refund.

9. Changes to this page

We update this page when our billing changes. The date at the top shows the latest version; a change does not affect charges already made.
